Cyclist injured in car crash – Trenton

HAMILTON — On Oct. 26, around 9:30 a.m., a collision occurred at the intersection of South Clinton Avenue and Chambers Street.

The collision involved a 2005 GMC pickup truck, driven by Julio Caizaguaman, of Trenton, and a bicycle, driven by Victoriano Choz, also of Trenton. Preliminary investigations indicate that the bicyclist was traveling southbound at an intersection with a red light and was struck by a GMC pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on South Clinton Avenue through the intersection with a green signal.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The crash is being investigated by Officers J. Anaya and P. Welsh of Hamilton Police’s Traffic Unit. Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the traffic department at 609-581-4024.
