All lanes of U.S. 33 near Interstate 670 in Columbus have reopened hours after a crash involving a construction trailer in the westbound lanes injured one person Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was reported just after 2:45 p.m. on westbound U.S. 33, also known as Dublin Road, near I-670. Emergency responders at the scene said U.S. 33 would be closed for a “long-term period,” according to a traffic advisory.

This turned out to be very true. Although Columbus Police dispatch was unable to provide an exact time for U.S. 33 to reopen, The Dispatch determined it was between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. by monitoring the Ohio Department of Transportation’s OHGO website.

According to the dispatcher, one person was injured as a result of the accident. They were taken to OhioHealth Riverside Hospital in stable condition.
