Six people, including family members returning home to celebrate Diwali, died in truck-truck collision – India TV

At least six people, including four family members, were killed and five injured in a road accident in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday morning. The accident occurred when a Tractor hit a Tempo in Mujaria area.

The injured were transported to the district hospital. Officials said they were returning home to celebrate Diwali.

The victims, who worked as vegetable vendors in Noida, were traveling in a three-wheeler which collided with a tractor.

“Sanjeev Kumar, Colorado City, Budaun, says: “Five people died in an accident between Tampon and a van, below Mujariya PS limits, in the morning hours… the injured were hospitalized at the Community Health Center (CHC). ..Further investigation is ongoing.”

The speeding car then hit the Charger, further reducing the chance of escape.

According to Budaun District Magistrate Nidhi Srivastava, Atul (31) of Mirzapur, Kanhai (35) of Bareilly, his wife Kusum (30) and their children Kartik and Sheenu (8 and 5) died in the collision.

She added that the sixth deceased had not yet been identified. The search for the tractor driver who escaped after the incident is ongoing.
