6 people died in a tragic road accident while they were returning home to celebrate Diwali with their family in UP

Six people, including four family members, were killed and five injured when they were hit by a tractor in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh. All the victims, who worked as vegetable vendors in Noida, were returning home to celebrate Diwali. They were traveling at the pace of a three-wheel loader.

Those killed were Atul, 31, of Mirzapur, Kanhai, 35, of Bareilly, his wife Kusum, 30, and their children Kartik and Sheenu, aged eight and five, said Budaun district magistrate Nidhi Srivastav. She said one person had not yet been identified. The search for the tractor driver who escaped after the incident is ongoing.
