Fitchburg school returns to classrooms after stabbing – Boston News, Weather, Sports

FITCHBURG, MA. (WHDH) – One day, Fitchburg High School students return to classes after a classmate was stabbed at school.

Police have arrested a Goodrich Academy student in connection with Wednesday’s stabbing.

According to the Fitchburg Police Department, officers responded to a report of a school robbery at approximately 1:59 p.m. According to police, upon arrival they found the student with non-life-threatening stab wounds.

Officials said the stabbed student was treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital for further treatment. Police said a 15-year-old classmate was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Goodrich Academy was placed on lockdown while police responded.
