A bus is set on fire as Los Angeles police confront rowdy crowds after the Dodgers’ World Series win

A bus was set on fire and several people arrested in Los Angeles after the Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series on Wednesday.

Fans celebrated the Dodgers’ 7-6 victory by flooding city streets and setting off fireworks. As reported by KTLA-TV. In some cases, drivers performed donuts and other stunts in parking lots and intersections.

Shortly before 10 p.m., Los Angeles police declared the gathering illegal and attempted to disperse the crowd. Stones, bottles and other projectiles were thrown at the police, and robbers broke windows and stole goods from a shoe store.

A crowd in the Echo Park neighborhood vandalized a subway bus, and some people climbed onto the roof of the public transit vehicle. The bus then burst into flames, and the video shows flames consuming the vehicle.

Even though the tactical alert was lifted, police were still patrolling Echo Park on Thursday morning.

Police made 12 arrests in connection with the celebrations. No injuries were reported.
