Chargers bold trade projections make Jim Harbaugh an elite pass rusher

Chargers bold trade projections make Jim Harbaugh an elite pass rusher

Most potential deals that have been talked about for Los Angeles Chargers required bringing in a wide receiver. While this is necessary for the team to continue to compete at a high level, this is not the only situation where it is necessary.

The Chargers defense is one of the best in the league. The unit allows just over 193 yards per game. However, the defense needs some work to get to the quarterback. Sports News’ Vinnie Iyer. has a great idea to fix it.

According to Iyer, the Chargers should take steps to bring New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Chase Young to Los Angeles: “Sending Young with Nick Bosa didn’t work for the 49ers, but how about putting Young in a situational passing and rush behind your back? Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack? Jesse Minter and Jim Harbaugh could get more out of the 2020 No. 2 overall pick.

Young, 25 years old become a free agent after this season and has two sacks and 15 pressures playing in 69 percent of snaps in eight games so far.

This move would make a ton of sense as Young most likely wants to play for a team that can make it through the season. With a few moves, the Chargers could be a serious contender. Bringing in Young would mean that the front office believes in this team.
