Woman attacked in Georgetown

Georgetown, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on Sandhill Road in Georgetown. The incident occurred on the night of October 30, when an unidentified man attacked a woman.

Following the report, detectives contacted Beebe Healthcare in Lewes in the early hours of Thursday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m. The attack occurred when the victim approached a car parked on the side of the road near her residence in the 18000 block. She used a stun gun with a flashlight to fend off the attack, and the attacker fled.

The victim suffered minor injuries and is assisting police with their ongoing investigation. Law enforcement officers from Delaware State Police Troop 4 are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Details may be obtained by calling Detective M.
