Three teenagers arrested in connection with Methuen shooting

Police said Thursday that three arrests were made last week in connection with a shooting involving several teenagers in Methuen.

Jayden Moreno of Methuen and Reggie Wells of Salem, New Jersey, both 18, were arrested along with a 16-year-old boy, who was not identified because of his age, Methuen police said in a statement.

According to police, all three face multiple firearms charges stemming from the Oct. 21 shooting that injured three teenagers.

The statement states that at 1:03 a.m. police received a report of gunshots and injuries in the area of ​​113 Boston St.

Police found a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, the statement said. According to the police, both were treated at the scene and then taken to hospital.

According to police, a 16-year-old boy who was also shot was taken to the hospital on his own shortly thereafter.

The statement shows that the 17-year-old remains in hospital in a critical condition, and the other two victims have already been released.

The statement said police confiscated two firearms, including a 9mm ghost pistol, ammunition casings and personal items.

Investigators identified Moreno, Wells and a 16-year-old as suspects, and all three were arrested this week, police said.

The statement said the arrests were made following an investigation that involved multiple law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
