The Brazilian was substituted late in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and has not featured for the club since then, with Caoimhin Kelleher serving as his replacement between the sticks.

In an interview before the match against Arsenal Slot confirmed that Alisson is making good progress but is not close to returning to training.

“He is progressing well, as we expect, but it is not a short-term improvement,” the Dutchman said at a news conference.

“It’s always difficult to judge. The best way to assess the health condition is when the athlete is undergoing rehabilitation and is not yet on the right track.
