Former MVP Bryce Harper will participate in Saturday’s Major College Football broadcast

Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper will be part of college football coverage Saturday morning and afternoon. He will appear on FOX’s pregame show before the Big Ten matchup between Ohio State and Nebraska.

According to “Big Noon Kickoff” on social media:

Tomorrow we will be joined by a very special guest

Bryce Harper will join Big Noon Kickoff LIVE in Columbus ahead of @OhioStateFB’s matchup with @HuskerFootball

The broadcast will begin at 10 a.m. EST and will take place in Columbus, Ohio. This is actually the second time Harper’s has appeared in coverage of an Ohio State game in as many years. He explained that his wife played in it last season football for the state of Ohio. Sam Harper is from Las Vegas and played baseball for a year at the College of Southern Nevada. He has no connection to the Buckeyes other than his wife.

Harper, 32, may be a part of this as the Phillies are unfortunately not currently playing in the World Series. This season, Philadelphia was defeated in the NLDS by the New York Mets. They had played in the World Series and NLCS, respectively, the previous two years.

Harper had another excellent season, hitting .285 with 30 runs scored and 87 RBI. He also posted an on-base percentage of .373. He was named to the All-Star team for the eighth time in his career.

Harper just completed his 13th year with the Washington Nationals and Phillies. In addition to his eight All-Star appearances, he is also a two-time MVP, three-time Silver Slugger, Rookie of the Year and home run derby champion.
