1 dead, 1 injured in head-on crash in Barry County

IRVING TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Hastings man is dead following a head-on crash in Irving Township.

According to the Barry County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), the crash occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Friday near State and Wood School roads.

We’re told the 23-year-old was driving south in a Mercury Milan when it crossed the center line and collided with a Lincoln Navigator.

Deputies say the Hastings man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Tristin Prentice.

A 41-year-old Clarksville woman, who BCSO said was traveling in the Lincoln, was taken to the hospital.
