Teen seriously injured after ATV overturns outside Wheeling

WHEELING, Mo. (KCTV) – A teenager was seriously injured after a Polaris ATV overturned on a county road just outside Wheeling.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that on Thursday, October 24, emergency services were called to the area of Liv 236 and Spring St at approximately 2:00 p.m. near Wheeling for a report of an ATV collision.

When first responders arrived, they found a 15-year-old girl was traveling west on LIV 236 in a 2015 Polaris Ranger when the ATV began to slide sideways. The vehicle traveled off the southbound side of the road and struck a roadside corner before overturning onto the passenger side.

State troopers said a 14-year-old female who was a passenger in the ATV was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. NO further information has been released.
