Driver seriously injured in New Madrid County crash

NEW MADRID, Mo. (KFVS) – A Sikeston man is seriously injured in a crash in New Madrid County, Missouri.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports, the accident occurred on Friday, October 25 at 4:00 p.m. The driver was traveling north on County Road 405, 16 miles east of New Madrid.

The accident occurred when a 2006 Nissan Titan went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as James E. Stinett, 47, of Sikeston, was transported by Air EVAC to Regional One in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment for serious injuries.

According to MSHP, it is unknown whether he was wearing a safety device.
