Allan Nunez charged with assaulting a teenage police officer at a Hicksville shopping center

A man was arrested on suspicion of forcible touching at a Hicksville shopping center on Friday Nassau police said the teen and assaulted a police officer.

Officers received a report from Broadway Commons around 4:30 p.m. of an intoxicated man who was acting aggressively toward people at the mall, Nassau police said in a statement.

Police say Allan Nunez, 30, of Bayville, inappropriately grabbed and touched a 15-year-old girl while she was walking through Round 1, a bowling alley and arcade at the mall.

Police said Nunez resisted arrest and attacked the officer, suffering injuries to his right knee and elbow. The officer was taken to hospital for examination and treatment.

Nunez is charged with second-degree assault, forcible touching, disorderly conduct, child endangerment, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.

He will be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
