Police say one person is dead after a shooting in a Plymouth parking lot

A 41-year-old man died Friday evening at the hospital after he was shot in a Plymouth parking lot, according to a press release from the Plymouth Police Department.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., police received multiple calls about a person with a gunshot wound in a public parking lot on Middle Street.

The statement says the first officer on scene confronted the suspect during the shooting and took him into custody without incident.
