Two motorcyclists were taken to hospital after an accident with another motorcycle on BKE

SINGAPORE – Two men were taken to hospital after their motorcycles were involved in an alleged road accident with another motorcycle on the morning of November 20 at BKE, police said.

Police and the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) were informed of the accident along BKE towards PIE after the Dairy Farm exit at around 9.45am on the same day.

Police and SCDF said the two drivers, aged 20 and 23, were conscious when they were taken one to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the other to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Road accidents have claimed lives 136 people in 2023which is a 25.9% increase from 108 deaths in 2022.

In 2023, motorcyclists or passengers were involved in more than half of all road accidents and were responsible for half of deaths caused by road accidents.
