The country music star gives fans an update from her daughter’s hospital bed following a car accident

Fans of country music star Darryl Worley are breathing a sigh of relief after his latest update following a serious car accident involving his young daughter.

Worley shared an Instagram post on Wednesday with a photo of a smiling Savannah Worley in a hospital bed.

“It may be raining today, but my sun woke up with a little smile on its face!” he wrote. “It’s been a tough few days but we know God is in control and protecting Savannah through it all!! I’m not sure when he’ll be home, but he looks much better today than he did yesterday or the day before!! #mygirl #mybaby #sweetlucy #savannah #praiseJesus.”

After a terrifying few days, the post was met with praise from his followers.

Worley took to Instagram for the first time on Monday to explain that 16-year-old Savannah was in a serious car accident.

“I humbly turn to you with a very serious request!” Worley posted on Instagram. “I’m flying back to Nashville from a show in New Mexico! Kimberly called and said that Savannah had been in a serious accident and was being transported to the Medical Center (Vanderbilt) in Nashville!

“He has a broken leg, bruises and lacerations!” – he continued. “Please pray for her and pray that I can come home to be with my baby girl and Kimberly! Pray for the lady in the other car too! I don’t have any details about the accident, but please pray for me!”

Worley also shared photos of crashed cars at the scene.

Worley, 60, began his career in 1999 and has released five studio albums. He has 18 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including three number ones.

His song “Have You Forgotten?” spent seven weeks at number one.
