The “cycle of death” continues in Kurram as tribes use automatic weapons to fire heavily

Violence has escalated in Lower Kurram as heavy and automatic weapons fire continues to be exchanged between rival groups.

According to police sources, at least 15 people have been killed and 25 injured in the ongoing clashes. Violence broke out after an attack on passenger vehicles led to a series of retaliatory clashes between the two sides.

In response to the deteriorating security situation, educational institutions across Kurram district were closed for the day. Authorities urged residents to stay at home as tensions remain high.
