SAN ANTONIO – Determined by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office two out of three road accident fatalities on Friday morning.

Leslie Salas Dominguez, 25, and Yareli Salas Dominguez, 22, died at the scene around 5 a.m. Friday near U.S. Highway 281 and Roosevelt Avenue after a man rear-ended their three-passenger vehicle.

Police said that after the first collision, the three-seater vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, where it collided with another car.

The medical examiner’s office said the identity of the third person who died in the vehicle has not been confirmed.

San Antonio police said the driver of the third vehicle was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The driver, who authorities say caused the crash, fled the scene on foot. However, San Antonio police later caught up with him and took him into custody.

On Saturday, KSAT contacted SAPD. At this time, the department is not disclosing the identity of the suspect and is awaiting consideration of possible charges.

This is a developing story. KSAT will update this story with more details as they become available.
