Kanye West accused of sexual assault by ‘America’s Next Top Model’ alum on music video set

Kanye West was sued for allegedly sexually assaulting and gagging a model during the filming of a music video in 2010 by model Jenifer An, a contestant on “America’s Next Top Model.” Filming took place around September 7, 2010 at the Chelsea Hotel in New York. The model alleged in her lawsuit that Kanye West had models, including her, line up in the hallway and tell her, “Give me an Asian girl,” which made her feel uncomfortable, Page Six reports.
The model said she was only wearing underwear at the time and told West she wasn’t wearing much, to which West replied, “That’s why I chose you.” They then went to the couch where the camera was pointed at.
On camera, Kanye West began choking her with one hand, then “wrapped his other hand around her neck and continued to choke her with both hands.” West covered her face with both hands, smearing her makeup. “He then placed several of his fingers down her throat, continuously thrusting them in and out, and gagged her… to mimic forced oral sex,” the complaint further stated.
“This is art. This is fucking art. I’m like Picasso,” said Kanye West, pressing on the model. As she allegedly tried to move her tongue away from West’s “swirling hand,” the suit claims, “she began to panic and looked around the set, hoping to see anyone who might intervene.”
Kanye West has not yet reacted to the lawsuit.
The model is seeking an unspecified amount in damages as part of the lawsuit and, according to the complaint, believes West violated New York federal law for second-degree strangulation, criminal sexual conduct and assault. She said she dealt with the trauma and felt extremely humiliated, degraded, a victim, ashamed and emotionally depressed.
