One person dies after a car falls from the HWY 180 viaduct onto the HWY 41 divider

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — One person is dead after a car fell off the Highway 180 overpass and landed on Highway 41 Tuesday morning in Fresno.

The accident occurred on Highway 41, under Highway 180.

The California Highway Patrol says the car was traveling westbound on Highway 180 when the driver lost control.

The vehicle hit the seaplane and fell off the highway overpass, landing on the median of Highway 41 below.

The male passenger suffered serious injuries.

Chest compressions were performed and he was taken to hospital.

The male driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
