A woman died and a man was seriously injured in an accident in Worcestershire

A 20-year-old woman was killed and a 30-year-old man was seriously injured in a collision between a passenger car and a bus.

Emergency services were called to the B4208 Blackmore Park Road, near Welland, at 15:21 GMT on Tuesday.

West Mercia Police said the passenger in the car, a black BMW, died at the scene.

One of the men, the driver of the car, was in a critical condition and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for specialist treatment.

Another man, a bus driver, was assessed at the scene by an ambulance team but chose not to go to hospital.

There were no passengers on the bus.

West Mercia Police said they would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or may have dashcam footage.
