SAPD says 2 people are dead and 1 injured in a shooting on the East Side

Two people are dead and one injured following a shooting on the East Side, according to San Antonio police.

According to police, an unknown number of people gathered at the house and became involved in an argument. At one point, someone pulled out a gun and shot.

Two people died, whose identities have not yet been identified. According to police, a third person was injured.

It is not known how serious the victim’s injuries are.

SAPD said the person was arrested a few blocks away near East Houston Street and North New Braunfels Avenue.

Police believe the person was involved in the incident, but are unsure if he is a suspect or a witness.

SAPD Chief William McManus is expected to brief media at the scene.
