Murder investigation after woman murdered in Derbyshire ‘rammed’ e-bike

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman died in a car crash in a Derbyshire village.

Police said they were called to Batley Lane in Pleasley at 8pm GMT on Tuesday where a dark 4×4 car followed two electric bikes before “ramping” one of the bikes, causing the driver and passenger to fall. and then drive away.

A 25-year-old woman who was a passenger in the e-bike died on the spot, and the man driving it, aged around 20, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers said a man and a woman, both in their 30s and from the Skegby area of ​​Nottinghamshire, were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody.
