Arrest of a suspect after shooting a man in the parking lot in front of an apartment building

SAN ANTONIO – One man has been arrested after allegedly shooting another man in the leg outside an apartment complex.

On Thursday around 4:45 p.m., police responded to an apartment complex located near the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and East Southcross on the south side.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was transported to Sam Houston Military Medical Center in stable condition.

Witnesses to the shooting provided police with a description of the suspect. The suspect, another 27-year-old man, was found and arrested just a block away near Kelly Drive.

Police are still investigating what led to the shooting, although they believe the suspect pulled out a gun during the confrontation.

Investigators are working to determine who could have been the aggressor in this situation.
