A California man has been missing for 25 years and his sister saw his photo on the news

Deputies in northern Lassen County California The department announced that they have identified a man who has been missing for 25 years after he spent months in an unidentified location Los Angeles County hospitals.

In a Facebook post, the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call last week from a woman who thought she had seen a photo of her long-lost brother in a USA Today article. A story published in May involved a man who spent a month at St. John’s Medical Center. Franciszka in Lublin Lynwoodbut staff were unable to identify him. According to the article, the man was found on April 15 South Los Angeles.

A GoFundMe campaign allegedly organized by the man’s sister, Marcella Nasseri, identified the man as her brother Tommy.

“My little brother Tommy went missing in August 1999.” – Nasseri wrote in the GoFundMe campaign. “He just disappeared without a trace. Even his vehicle was never found.”

After receiving the call, a Lassen County deputy contacted St. Franciszek. Hospital staff told him the man had already been transferred to another hospital. After verifying the man was still there, the deputy contacted the officer Los Angeles Police Department. An LAPD detective went to the hospital to take the man’s fingerprints and found they matched Tommy’s.

Nasseri said she was “delighted” to see Tommy alive. “I was looking for unidentified remains all this time,” she wrote. She said she was working to transfer her brother from Los Angeles County to Lassen County. Lassen County is located northwest of Reno, Nevada.
