Jeremy Jackson’s devastating fall: How the 44-year-old Baywatch heartthrob was ruined by addiction, prison time and a shocking ax on reality TV

He originally rose to fame as one of the hunks on Baywatch, but for Jeremy Jackson, his life in the spotlight hasn’t been quiet.

The former ’90s heartthrob, 44, has faced a long list of personal misfortunes since first appearing on the show as Hobie Buchannon, battling drug addiction, time behind bars and a dramatic blow after reportedly returning to British reality TV TV.

Although Jeremy is now clean and works as a fitness trainer and sober mentor for other recovering addicts, he has previously been open about his struggles, which also included the tumultuous end of his marriage to Loni Willison.

Jeremy played Mitch Buchannon’s (David Hasselhoff) son Hobie on the beloved series, and the pair remain close to this day.

He previously recalled his downward spiral in a 2006 episode of E!’s Child Star Confidential, where he discussed his long battle with drug addiction.

“I probably made between $2 million and $3 million on Baywatch,” he said at the time.

“I had the means to destroy myself: I had a lot of money and there were a lot of people around me who weren’t really my friends, but I thought they were, and I got completely sucked into a spiral of a deteriorating lifestyle.”

“I smoked weed every day and did cocaine until it stopped working,” he admitted. “I guess I couldn’t get high from it anymore.”

Jeremy even said he confronted his co-worker David about his drug use and said, “He just looked me in the eye and said, ‘Jeremy, what are you smoking, weed?!’ I didn’t do it. I don’t have the heart to tell him, “That was years ago – now I do coke, ecstasy and speed.”

Struggling with the pressures of fame at a young age, Jeremy later shared his sensational decision to leave the show, adding: “The real thing was I had a big head and I thought I was better than Baywatch or that I was going to go out and take mind your own business.

One day I walked away with my middle finger in the air and said, “Fuck you, I’m not coming back to that set.” And I withdrew from the program.

Jeremy’s drug addiction continued to escalate and he was arrested at the age of 19, after moving from marijuana and cocaine to methamphetamine.

He said: “I left the residence with two bags full of everything you need to make methamphetamine.

“I was attacked by secret police. I was looking at (charges for) manufacturing methamphetamine, which is a mandatory sentence of 7 to 35 years. I looked like hell – lots of scabs and sores on my face; really, really skinny, really, really pale.

– I called my mother immediately. So many times I have said: “This is the last time, I’m sorry, it won’t happen again, I will change” – but at this point there is nothing you can say. I went to jail for 90 days.

“Production fees have been reduced. I was charged with possession with intent to sell. I did what I could, I did rehabilitation. I think this was probably the fifth rehab I’ve been to.

While Jeremy moved from acting to several reality shows, he began developing a steroid supplement.

In 2011, during an appearance with Dr. Drew on Celebrity Rehab, he said: “It started out innocent enough – you know, the gym, the trainers, the acting classes, but the addiction mentality… for a guy like me, it just isn’t fast enough. . I want results, like right now.

“I have spent at least $200,000 in the last three years just on steroids, pills and injections.”

In 2015, Jeremy tried to revive his career by appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, but was kicked off the show after he drunkenly exposed his breasts to Chloe Goodman in the home toilet.

The worried star later told The Sun: “It was a terrible drunken mistake. I’m very ashamed. It would be very easy to blame it all on the alcohol, but I’m not that cheap of a player. It’s my fault and I have no one else to blame but myself.

“I didn’t touch her skin or caress her,” and reaching out to Chloe, he said, “Please forgive me.”

Following the incident, Jeremy later received a police caution for common assault.

His legal troubles continued in 2017 when he was sentenced to 270 days in the Los Angeles County Jail and five years’ probation after being accused of stabbing a woman during an argument.

Jeremy was arrested in 2015 after allegedly stabbing a woman near her Los Angeles home in August of the same year, following an argument between the couple.

According to TMZ at the time, Jeremy attacked the stranger’s arm, leg and back when she tried to stop him from stealing her boyfriend’s car.

Jeremy was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats, which carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison.

The arrest comes after the former child star was arrested in April 2015 for assault with a deadly weapon.

The man claimed he was stabbed nine times and that the troubled actor tried to rob him.

He said he needed 177 stitches and three liters of blood after the incident.

In a shocking confession, Jeremy also previously revealed that he carried out a horrific act in his Baywatch co-stars’ swimsuits.

He admitted that he could smell his co-stars’ dirty swimsuits after a long day of filming.

Jackson, whose co-stars included Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra and Nicole Eggert, said: “Usually after we finished filming, I would sneak into the (women’s) trailers and grab their dirty swimsuits.

“Let’s just say I sensed every signal from Baywatch. And Nicole (Eggert) was definitely the most important one. We had a very intimate moment, she and I, that she never knew about.

Producers then told 52-year-old Summer star Quinn Eggert, who is battling stage 2 breast cancer, and he replied, “I knew Jeremy very well, it doesn’t surprise me at all.”

In 2014, he split from his wife Loni Wilson – who is now homeless – after less than two years of marriage.

Loni claims Jeremy tried to choke her during a physical altercation while they were drunk.
