A tenant farmer ends his life today in Karimnagar-Telangana

Upset by his debts, he attempted suicide on Friday by consuming pesticides. Family members rushed him to the hospital where he breathed his last.

Karimnagar: A tenant farmer, Borala Rajender (30), who attempted suicide on Friday by consuming pesticides, died on Saturday while undergoing treatment in hospital.

Rajender, who hails from Papakkapalli in Jammikunta mandal, cultivated cotton on five acres of land, of which four acres were on rent. However, due to the lack of adequate crops over the last few seasons, he has fallen into debt. Upset by his debts, he attempted suicide on Friday by consuming pesticides. Family members rushed him to the hospital, where he breathed his last on Saturday while undergoing treatment.
