Online cyclist commits suicide due to financial problems in Karachi

According to Express News, a 28-year-old man, identified as Ali Zahid, took his own life in Karachi’s Sachal Town after reportedly suffering financial and economic difficulties.

Zahid, an internet-using cyclist, was found hanging with a nylon rope at his house in Block 5 in Safora Sachal city. Additionally, a cut was found on his wrist, and blood pooled on the floor beneath it.

Police reached the spot after receiving a report and with the help of volunteers from Chhipa, the body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for further examination. According to Inspector Aurangzeb Khattak, SHO of Sachal Police Station, Zahid lived in a rented house with his two sisters and was facing financial difficulties.

Zahid, who was unmarried, was reportedly facing severe economic hardships that may have led him to despair. He was last seen hanging from a ceiling hook after a nylon rope was tied around his neck.

Initial investigations suggest he may have slit his wrist before taking such a drastic step, although police are still gathering information from his family to find out the full circumstances.

“Zahid’s tragic death highlights the enormous pressure many people face due to financial instability,” Inspector Khattak said. “We continue to investigate the details of this incident.”

Police are also working with Zahid’s family members to learn more about his personal struggles and the events that led to his death.
