Sealed court records accusing a man of sexual assault and buying alcohol for students

CONWAY – Court records in the criminal case against Malcolm Badger, 28, of Bartlett, which included allegations that a real estate agent bought alcohol for college students and one count of sexual assault, have been sealed, according to court spokesman Av Harris.

Harris said Badger’s arraignment took place in Third District Court in Ossipee. WMUR reported that bail was set at $10,000 on Monday, but no details were provided. Harris said the district attorney has filed a motion to seal all court records in the Badger case.

Badger was Mattei was arrested Friday after turning himself in on a warrant charging him with sexual assault, according to Conway Police Chief Christopher Mattei.

Mattei said in a statement that an investigation into Badger was initiated by Conway Police Department School Resource Officer Cory Brandon after receiving information from several juveniles that Badger was allegedly providing alcoholic beverages to a large number of high school students.

“Based on information gathered during the ongoing investigation, a request for an arrest warrant has been filed for Malcolm Badger on charges of criminal sexual assault as defined in NH RSA 632-A:3.” Badger was held in the Carroll County Jail.

Mattei thanked School Resource Officer Cory Brandon and the staff of Kennett High School “for their consistent and quick response to this matter.”

“First and foremost, I would like to thank the students of Kennett High School who continue to have the courage to come forward and file reports with the school and law enforcement,” Mattei said.

Mattei said it remains an active investigation.
