Children injured in school bus crash near Tisdale: RCMP

Tisdale RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle collision that occurred Monday around 3:55 p.m.

650 CKOM confirmed that the Sask air ambulance arrived at the crash site.

The school bus was full of children at the time of the accident.

The bus is currently parked in a ditch near the intersection of Township Road 424 and Range Road 2160, approximately 14 miles southwest of Tisdale, SK.

RCMP said in a news release that the adult driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries but could not confirm the number or ages of the children but said their families had been notified.

“Some children are being treated for a variety of injuries – we do not have specific details on their injuries or how many children currently require hospital treatment.”

RCMP said they did not anticipate any further updates this evening.

“Range Road 2160 and Range Road 2155 will be closed indefinitely. Diversions have been put in place, but drivers should expect delays in this area.”
