Saska. RCMP say several students were injured in a school bus crash near Tisdale

RCMP say they are investigating a school bus crash that happened Monday afternoon near Tisdale, a town about 200 kilometers northeast of Saskatoon. RCMP say the bus was transporting students at the time.

RCMP say the adult school bus driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and some children were treated for various injuries, but did not provide specific details about the injuries sustained or the number of children requiring hospital treatment.

The release said RCMP could not confirm the number or age of the children.

The report showed that the bus was in a ditch at that time.

Tisdale RCMP said the single-vehicle crash occurred around 3:55 p.m. CST near an intersection about 22 kilometers southwest of Tisdale.

Police say the children’s families have been notified.

Police say officers are continuing to investigate with the assistance of the Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
