Ardmore police release body camera footage of the officer involved in the shooting

ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) – The Ardmore Police Department has released body camera footage of the moments leading up to it the officer was involved in a shooting on Thursday at a gas station.

The shooting occurred during a traffic stop at Tiger Mart on Veteran’s Blvd.

Police say Joshua Estrada gave false information about his identity because of an outstanding warrant, then told the officer, “I have a gun, I’ll use it,” and appeared to put something out the window.

At this point, the officer fired several shots.

Estrada was taken to Unique Community Hospital in Ardmore, where he was treated and released, and he he was later arrested by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for making a terrorist threat.
