According to the government’s chief pathologist, the injuries led to bleeding into the brain.

“He had a brain bleed. In addition, he had bruises on his wrists caused by handcuffs being found on him. There was also missing tissue in the mouth, ear and cheek,” Oduor said.

Oduor explained that the missing tissues were the result of animal predation where the body was found.

“They were caused by aquatic animals such as fish and crabs. We found a dead crab on our clothes. We believe they were targeting soft parts of the body,” he said.
