Courteney Cox is paying tribute to ‘Friends’ husband Matthew Perry, one year after his death

Courteney Cox has paid tribute to former ‘Friends’ co-star Matthew Perry a year after his unexpected death.

Cox, 60, posted two photos resembling herself and the man the late actor via Instagram October 29.

In the first photo, the couple was smiling in front of the paparazzi. The second is an old cast photo of “Friends” starring Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc.

“I miss you today and always @matthewperry Foundation– Cox captioned the post.

Aniston, 55, also published her photos from the past and Perry via Instagram.

“1 year,” Aniston captioned the post, tagging the Matthew Perry Foundation next to a bandaged broken heart emoji and dove emoji.

The “17 Again” star’s family founded the Matthew Perry Foundation, which helps people struggling with addictions. Perry dealt with drug and alcohol addiction at the height of Friends’ success.

“The job I do now is very selfish because I feel like I’m sitting right next to Matthew and working with him every day on something that was important to him,” Perry’s half-sister Caitlin Morrison, 43, told “Hi! Canada” October 24.

Perry’s stepfather, Keith Morrison, told the “Today” show.: “He taught the world that no amount of money can cure an addict. I need something else. And that’s what we try to do.”

Mother of the deceased actor, Suzanne Perry chimed in: “I am a very happy woman, but there was one glitch. There was one problem I couldn’t deal with. I couldn’t help him.

She added: “You have to stop blaming yourself because it’s tearing you apart.”

Morgan Fairchild, who played Perry’s mother, Nora Bing, on the beloved TV series, spoke to The Post about Perry’s death.

“I’ve actually been thinking about it a lot,” Fairchild said. “Matthew was a wonderful young man. The Mateusz I remember was always cheerful and, in a sense, crazy. He had a very crazy energy that as soon as he walked into the room, it just empowered you.

Fairchild particularly remembers “his wonderful comic book.”

“He was always a pleasure to work with. He was very creative,” she gushed. “He never went back to doing the same old things that you can do when you’re that successful.”

Perry died on October 28, 2023. as a result of a ketamine overdose– according to an autopsy conducted by the Los Angeles County coroner. He was buried on November 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles in a private ceremony.

Federal prosecutors in the criminal investigation in connection with this, five people were charged until the death of the deceased actor. The defendants are accused of exploiting Perry’s addiction and allegedly helping him illegally acquire ketamine.

Dr. Mark Chavez pleaded guilty conspire to distribute ketamine, a surgical anesthetic contributed to the fatal overdose of the “Friends” actor..

Jasveen Sangha, called the “queen of ketamine”, is accused of selling the drug to the actor. Dr. Salvador Plasencia allegedly administered the drug to Perry in the month before his death.

When Perry’s family was asked about the investigation, Suzanne he told “Today”: “I’m delighted.”

Morrison added: “I hope and I think the agencies involved hope that the people who have been involved in giving people drugs that will kill them have now been seen. “
