The Vikings add a left tackle to replace injured Christian Darrisaw in a trade with the Jaguars

The Minnesota Vikings have an answer to their needs at left tackle.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that the Vikings had acquired the Jacksonville Jaguars, who left Cam Robinson in exchange for draft pick compensation. The Vikings will receive a seventh-round pick in 2026, and the Jaguars will receive a fifth-round pick in 2026 that could become a fourth-round pick depending on playing time.

Robinson, a second-round draft pick by Jacksonville in 2017, will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He has played 91 games for the Jaguars over the last eight years. In seven appearances this year, Robinson has allowed four sacks.

The Vikings were in desperate need of a left tackle after four-year veteran Christian Darrisaw suffered a season-ending knee injury in Thursday’s 30-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Backup left guard David Quessenberry struggled after Darrisaw was ruled out, and quarterback Sam Darnold was sacked twice in the second half, including a game-sealing safety at the crucial moment.

Minnesota and Jacksonville will face off in Week 10 at EverBank Stadium.
