What is Homer’s greatest dream?

Homer’s favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys. Although he had dream sequences in which he was John Elway and actively wanted the Cowboys to lose, he was shown to be a Cowboys fan on numerous occasions. It was then revealed in the season eight classic “You Only Move Twice” that his biggest dream was to own the Dallas Cowboys. Then things come full circle as the episode comes to an end when his former boss and supervillain Hank Scorpio hands him the Denver Broncos, much to his chagrin.

He also wears a hat signed by famed Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry throughout the episode to further drive his fandom home, and it remains one of the funniest details of his character. Now things come full circle as he will be playing alongside the Dallas Cowboys in a very real game and has a chance to win against his dream team before it’s all over. This is just one of many reasons to keep an eye on upcoming events Funday Football on The Simpsons will air in late December this year when it hits Disney+.
