MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. – New details have emerged in a tragic crash that killed a 29-foot father and his two children and left a woman seriously injured.

The incident occurred Saturday when the ATV the victims were riding in collided with a car on Beech Bluff Road, east of Jackson, Tennessee.

Traffic moved slowly on Tuesday as drivers passed a small memorial to the victims of a fatal crash.

Justin Nerren and his two sons, aged two and three, died tragically.

Nerren’s 26-year-old girlfriend, Jordan Kinman, survived, but her condition is very serious.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said neither Nerren nor Kinman were wearing seat belts. The report does not indicate whether the two children were secured.

The driver of the car involved in the incident was also injured.

WREG learned that the victims were returning from a Halloween party in Henderson, Tennessee, when the crash occurred.

Friends have expressed support since the fatal crash.

“It probably happened pretty quickly,” Becky Carnell said. “So it’s not a good situation. They were very young.

Henderson Energy and Nutrition in Chester County is raising money to help an injured woman who is a friend of the owner.

Becky Carnell created a special drink to encourage donations.

“It has a cherry flavor and a little bit of coconut,” Carnell said. “It has been quite popular so far.”

Carnell said the donation jar is constantly filling, which means people want to help.

“It makes us sad because something like this is so tragic. It shouldn’t have happened in this situation,” Carnell said. “But we’re trying to see how we can help the community.”

Although several people actually came to the monument on Tuesday, no one wanted to appear on camera out of respect for the victims’ families.

Carnell said she understands that and knows friends and family are trying to cope with the overwhelming tragedy.

“It’s a very heartbreaking (situation),” Carnell said. “As a mother, I have five children. That’s why it’s really hard to imagine having to lose everyone.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing and charges have been filed.
