Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested for allegedly violating supervised release

Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested Tuesday for allegedly violating the terms of his supervised release, which was part of his suspension in connection with a federal racketeering and firearms plea agreement.

This is his lawyer Lance Lazzaro Rolling Stone that Hernández was arrested Tuesday on violation of supervised release for three technical violations. “We are confident that he will be released from custody at his next hearing,” Lazzaro says. “These are technical violations and we have the ability to defend against each of them.”

ABC7 reported that the rapper was detained after he went to Las Vegas without permission. He was arrested on a warrant issued by the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, charged and pleaded not guilty.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernández, also failed to show up for a scheduled drug test and tested positive for methamphetamine. According to ABC7, the rapper claimed he tested positive because he was taking Adderall.

In 2018, Hernández was arrested in New York on racketeering and firearms chargesrelated to his involvement in the Nine Trey Bloods gang. Although he initially pleaded not guilty, Hernandez later pleaded not guilty concluded a settlement and testified about the gang’s illegal activities, admitting that he ordered a Nine Trey member to shoot rival rapper Chief Keef.

He was an artist sentenced to two years in prison in late 2019. The following year, he was released early due to concerns that his health would be seriously affected if he contracted Covid-19 at the beginning of the pandemic.

Hernández will spend the next two weeks at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, until his next evidentiary hearing on November 12. Tuesday’s latest arrest includes: long list of legal issues which the controversial rapper has been struggling with for almost a decade.

Last month, his ex-girlfriend Jorgina Lulu Guillermo Diaz sued the rapper and accused him of this by publishing revenge porn with her on the Internetand also abused her physically and mentally. In the lawsuit, Diaz alleged that Hernandez beat, drugged and robbed her. The listed causes of action included non-consensual pornography, battery, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress. When you talk to TMZ At the time, Hernandez denied the claims.

He was arrested in Santo Domingo in 2023 on charges of attacking two music producers, and TMZ reported at the time that Hernandez was allegedly jealous of the producers for spending time with his then-girlfriend, Dominican rapper and singer Yailin La Más Viral. One of the producers was allegedly attacked, one of the producers told the local press Libre Journal that he had suffered a jaw injury requiring surgery.
