Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested by federal authorities in New York

Polarizing rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested and taken into custody by federal authorities in New York on Tuesday, October 29.

Tekashi whose real name is Daniel Hernandezin accordance with the court decision, he violated the terms of his supervised release three times TMZ.


Tekashi allegedly violated his probation multiple times

Court documents show that’s what a federal judge wants Tekashi, 28, appear before him on three counts: performing in Las Vegas without prior notice to probation authorities, failing a drug test and failing to appear for a drug test on another occasion.

According to Lazzaro, the court notified Tekashi two weeks ago that he must surrender and gave him a specific deadline. When Tekashi missed his mandatory court appearance by an hour, the judge reportedly sent U.S. Marshals officers to apprehend him.

However, Tekashi turned himself in without incident Tuesday morning, Lazzaro said TMZ. He was scheduled to be questioned that afternoon.

Most hip-hop fans don’t like Tekashi because he’s a rat

As most pop culture fans know, Tekashi avoided nearly 50 years in prison in 2019 by presenting state testimony regarding the notoriously violent Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods street gang, with which he was affiliated. Crips reportedly even encountered him while he was incarcerated at the Metropolitan Correctional Facility in Brooklyn in late 2018 – the same prison where Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently imprisoned on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
