Kamala Harris contrasts Trump in White House Ellipse speech

Kamala Harris hoped so draw a clear contrast with former President Donald Trump on Tuesday in her closing campaign speech, delivered at the same venue where Trump urged his supporters to storm the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Just a week before Election Day, Harris traveled to the Ellipse White House to make an announcement final jump that he will improve the lives of ordinary Americans, while arguing that Trump is only focused on himself.

“Donald Trump has spent a decade trying to keep American society divided and fearful,” Harris said. “America, I am here tonight to say: This is not who we are.”

“Donald Trump means more chaos and division,” she said. “He won’t try to make your life better.”

In addition to her attacks on Trump, Harris portrayed herself as a leader who can do anything reach the crossing work with Republicans and solve national problems.

“I commit to finding common ground and common sense solutions to make your lives better. I have no intention of scoring political points. I care about progress,” she said.

The location itself offered dramatic attack on Trumpwho, in his January 6 speech, incited a mob of his extremist supporters to try to make up for the loss he suffered in 2020 to President Joe Biden.

“This is a seat that we certainly think will help crystallize the choice in this election,” Harris campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon told reporters Tuesday before the speech. “(It’s) a clear visualization of perhaps Donald Trump’s most infamous example and how he used his power for evil purposes.”

But Harris campaign advisers insisted there would be no speech A Biden-style call for American voters to save democracy by voting against Trump.

Instead, the Democratic candidate offered voters a broader scope to pass the mandate to her “turn the page” on Trump’s 12 tumultuous years in the center of political attention.

“Unlike Donald Trump, I don’t think that people who disagree with me are the enemy,” Harris said. – I will give them a place at my table. And I pledge to be the president of all Americans. Always put the homeland above the party and above yourself.

Her campaign was expected to draw a massive crowd of up to 52,000 people to Washington for the event. It certainly compares to the angry January 6 rally that Trump is now attending praises as “love day” and one of the largest crowds he had ever seen.

Harris laid out a pragmatic and forward-looking plan for the country, including reminding voters of her economic proposals and committing to work for abortion rights, a popular issue motivating Democrats for surveys.

Harris also took advantage still spreading outrage over racist jokes about Puerto Ricans and others at Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, which featured a comedian who mocked Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”

“He is focused and basically fixated on his grievances, on himself and on the division of our country,” Harris said.

Trump delivered his Tuesday speech in Allentown, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the busy Lehigh Valley, which could have helped determine the winner of the contest the hottest battlefield country.

Although Allentown has a large Puerto Rican community, Trump does he refused to apologize for his terrible rhetoric at the MSG rally.

The speeches came after polls show Trump and Harris remaining locked in a deadlocked race.

Harris leads most national popular vote polls, but it’s a photo finish in seven battleground states that will likely determine the winner of the White House.
