WWE did not provide any comment to the newspaper regarding the apparent lack of policy.

The revelation comes at a tumultuous time for WWE, with old lawsuits and investigations coming to light following the release of the Netflix special, Mr. McMahon. The Boys of the Ring lawsuit on October 23 was a sequel to the 1992 Ring Boys scandal, which the FBI investigated but never moved forward with.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant as well defendant McMahon and company on January 25, 2024, alleging physical and emotional abuse, as well as sexual assault and human trafficking in the spring of 2019. Her spokeswoman, Kendra Barkoff Lamy, harshly commented on WWE’s apparent lack of protection policies.

“WWE has been repeatedly sued for failing to protect employees from management sexual misconduct and a toxic work culture, including by Janel Grant, who suffered years of sexual abuse at the hands of WWE founder and former CEO Vince McMahon, WWE executive John Laurinaitis , and the WWE organization,” Lamy said.

“It is outrageous that WWE claims to have improved its work environment, yet has no visible sexual harassment or workplace conduct policies on its website,” she added. “This means that WWE employees have no guidance on appropriate behavior or visible guidelines for reporting abuse. This is yet another example of WWE’s carelessness and failure to protect its employees, and we can only hope that no one gets hurt due to this dangerous oversight. WWE employees deserve better.”
