A woman is dead after a crash in Harrison County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A woman is dead after a crash in Harrison County on Monday, October 21, according to police.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff, a Harrison County sheriff’s deputy responded to a rear-end collision involving a truck and a passenger car on Highway 64 in New Salisbury, IN around 8:20 p.m.

The driver of the truck was not injured, but the driver of the car was seriously injured and received cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene by firefighters and was transported to Harrison County Hospital. She was then airlifted to UofL Hospital, where she later died from her injuries, authorities said.

The woman was identified as Vicki Trowbridge of New Salisbury.

The investigation into the crash continues until reconstruction results are available.
