A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A motorcyclist was killed following a crash at Speedway and Stone in Tucson on Monday, October 28.

Tucson police confirmed that 18-year-old Athen Riley died at a local hospital.

TPD said Riley was driving too fast when a vehicle turned in front of him at the intersection.

According to TPD, Riley tried to move out of the way of the vehicle and it went off the road and struck a concrete structure. Riley, who was wearing a helmet, then crashed into another concrete structure.

According to TPD, the investigation is ongoing.

Riley’s speeding and failure to yield to other vehicles are believed to be contributing factors to the crash.
