Tragic loss: Award-winning editor Nishadh Yusuf found dead in suspected suicide

Renowned editor Nishadh Yusuf, known for his exceptional editing in several acclaimed films, was found dead in his Panampilly Nagar apartment early Wednesday morning. Authorities suspect suicide but have not released further information.

Yusuf has won the prestigious Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2022 for his noteworthy projects like ‘Thallumaala’, ‘Chaaver’ and ‘Unda’. His editing talents extended to the much-awaited films ‘Bazooka’ starring Mammootty and ‘Kanguva’ starring Tamil superstar Suriya.

Production house Studio Green, behind the film ‘Kanguva’, expressed its sadness on social media, highlighting Yusuf’s profound impact on the film community. The post read, “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden death of our beloved editor, #NishadYusuf.”
