Man charged with burglary and assault following mass search at Hilton Hotel

HILTON, N.Y. – A man is in custody after a massive search of a Hilton hotel overnight following a burglary and robbery.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a report of a domestic disturbance at a two-apartment complex around 1 a.m. When officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot and officers tracked him using drones and a K-9 unit.

Joseph Ortiz-Serrano now faces burglary, strangulation, assault and other charges. There is no information yet on the victim’s condition. We have contacted you for more information.
