Giants OT insists he locked up Steelers’ TJ Watt after he was roasted: ‘He didn’t do anything’

TJ Watt’s stats and performances against the New York Giants were outstanding. He had six pressures, two sacks and a critical strip sack that he allowed Pittsburgh Steelers to keep points off the board from the Giants.

The Giants start right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor he said before the match that he wanted to stay on the island with Watt. After a critical strip layoff, he was left on an island and Watt took advantage of it. However, he was ridiculed on social media for this statement. Eluemunor insists he was winning the duel with Watt for most of the match.

“I was on an island with him for most of the match. And he didn’t do a damn thing. I’m not going to sit here and f***ing sing his praises,” Eluemunor told WFAN radio. “He didn’t do anything for three and a half quarters and had one hit.”

Watt was chipped at least half the time, and Eluemunor was rarely on the island. Even during the game in which Watt was stripped on the island, Giants head coach Brian Daboll revealed that Eluemunor was scheduled to receive chip assistance, but quarterback Daniel Jones made no mention of that provision.

Either way, Eluemunor allowed Watt to have his usual influence on the game. Watt continues to build a strong Defensive Player of the Year candidate the more he plays and influences games. Two more sacks after Monday’s win will help.
