Culinary Class Wars Chef’s Divorce and Dating Controversies Explained, Triple Star: Two-Tact, Ghosts, More Allegations

Chef Triple Star, whose real name is Kang Seung Won, rose to fame after appearing on the Netflix kitchen survival show Culinary Class Wars. He was one of the finalists and overnight gained a huge fan base thanks to his good looks and not to mention his cooking skills. However, the culinary star now has to face serious allegations from her former partners. His ex-wife accused him of cheating, and another woman he was allegedly dating made ghosting allegations.

The controversy first emerged after the Dispatch reported that Person A, Triple Star’s ex-wife, contacted them about their past relationship and the events that led to their divorce. They married in May 2022, but the marriage only lasted about three months before ending in divorce.

However, the chef replied that it was an “on the spot” divorce application filed by A. “There was no specific reason (given by her) for the divorce. I wanted to keep my family together. Honestly, I don’t know what I did wrong,” he told the media.

His ex-wife delved into their past relationship and revealed that they met in 2014 when she was working in London and Kang Seung Won was a culinary student there. She explained that he was going through difficult times as a student, so she helped him in many ways.

“I heard that for a chef, the restaurant in which he works is important. I was working at the time, so I had a lot of contacts. I was looking for a restaurant where Kang Seung Won could have some influence,” Triple Star’s ex-wife said.

She claimed that her friend’s friend (Y) had contacts with Michelin-starred restaurants such as Benu and Atelier Crenn, so she asked for help. Dispatch also contacted this friend, referred to as X, for verification, and she confirmed A’s claims, saying: “She begged me to ask him (Y) to work for her boyfriend.”

X even confirmed that she received two Chanel handbags from Triple Star’s ex-wife for helping her find a job at Benu. It turned out that Y was close to an investor in this Michelin-starred restaurant, and thanks to this, the chef managed to get an interview there.

However, when asked, Kang Seung Won replied, “I know that A bought two Chanel bags for X and Y. But to say that I got the job because she gave them the bags? She simply gave these bags to her close friends.

He further explained that he emailed restaurants and managed to land an unpaid internship for three months, but was ultimately hired full-time after just a month because of his skills, not his Chanel bags.

And he continued by claiming that during their year of long-distance dating in 2016-2017, there were also a lot of relationship problems. However, even while the two were in South Korea, he allegedly had relationships with other women and even a man from time to time. The dispatcher did not reveal A’s full statement about this man.

The Triple Star chef’s ex-wife also claimed that they broke up many times, and every time such a breakup occurred, Kang Seung Won wrote her long letters in which he reflected on his mistakes such as “looking at other women “. However, the Culinary Class Wars star denied these claims.

On the other hand, another woman, identified as B, also made serious allegations against him. She claimed that they had been dating for four months, while the Triple Star chef stated that it was only 1-2 months. According to B, he suddenly scared her without any explanation, and she later found out that he had dated her twice with another woman. She also expressed her frustration when she found out that he married A shortly thereafter.

Additionally, Dispatch also revealed a screenshot of the message exchange. Triple star chef allegedly sent messages to B as the media was preparing to publish her statement. Finally, he was asked about another text message he sent to A after he found out she had a new boyfriend, in which he allegedly threatened to stab him.

However, Kang Seung Won initially tried to deny this claim, claiming that the screenshot was edited. He later stated that he did not know about such a message and even if he sent it, he must have been angry because he is not a person who makes threats.
