Arlington Heights crash: Harley Davidson rider killed on Northwest Highway near Waterman; – teenager cited – police say

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) — A motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle accident on Tuesday evening.

Police said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Northwest Highway near Waterman in Arlington Heights.

A silver 2020 Hyundai Elantra and a red 2017 Harley Davidson were traveling westbound on Northwest Highway.

As they approached Waterman, a blue 2010 Genesis coupe traveling eastbound veered left and struck the Hyundai and the motorcycle.

Despite the efforts of the rescue services, the motorcycle driver died on the spot.

The blue Genesis was driven by a 16-year-old. The teenager was cited for failing to yield the right of way when turning left and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The unidentified teenager will appear in court on November 21.

No other injuries were reported.
